The key strategy for an integrated and accepted implementation

Change management as a constant companion

Generally speaking, change management encompasses all activities, measures and tasks that are intended to bring about far-reaching change in an organization. However, the term is sometimes misleading because it leads us to believe that change can be controlled, organized and planned. In today's VUCA world (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity), change comes counter-cyclically and is difficult to predict. This makes it all the more important to systematically anchor planned changes in the organization.

Change is not a flash in the pan or a phenomenon that only occurs every few years. Change is a regular occurrence in today's working world, caused by process changes, redesigns of the working world, changing requirements or digitalization.

Change management is a key success factor for your transformation projects and the introduction of new technologies/systems.

This is how we guide you and your employees through change.

Change management in the HR/IT environment

Every (major) IT and HR/IT project, such as the introduction of a cloud solution, has at least an indirect change mandate. As obvious as the connection between IT and change management is, the more often we find divided worlds and differing views in practice. IT and IT systems are not only production or feel-good factors, but also a driver of competitiveness and a lever for efficient processes and satisfied employees. In many (HR IT) projects, companies fail to take changes and change measures into account.

Informing users and, above all, allaying potential fears in order to resolve conflicts at an early stage are essential components to ensure the long-term success of the integration of HR/IT tools in the organization.

Success &

  • Every project needs targeted support through change management, otherwise the innovations will not be accepted and skepticism towards the changes will prevail.
  • If employees are “picked up” during implementation, they identify with the solution and are happy to engage with it.

  • If the end users are fully familiar with the solution through training and communication, the potential of the new HR IT system can be fully utilized.

Cost and time

  • The earlier people are involved, the faster the end users adopt the solution and the better the system is used, the lower the follow-up costs.

Our change management approach

The procedure

How do you set up a good change management concept and what needs to be considered during implementation? How do you go about implementing change sustainably in everyday project work? These and other questions are a recurring concern for many organizations. We share our recipe for successful change management with you.

The most important ingredients are a vision, a comprehensive analysis, the concept and ultimately the implementation. You decide in which phase you need us.

Change Management Story in 3 dimensions
Initial recommendations for action

A change does not become effective overnight, so plan the change systematically and use the project plan as a template and align your activities accordingly.

Change management is not a side effect of an HR/IT introduction or expansion; it is more of a project within a project. Therefore, these activities also require organization and responsibilities that may lie outside the area of responsibility of the project management.

People are crucial to the success of a change initiative. The people involved must be empowered and thus learn skills and abilities that support them in managing the change. Create a space for people to learn and develop.

A change is only as good as the employees' acceptance of it in the end. Create space for feedback rounds and monitor the effectiveness.

The change must be integrated into everyday life and become part of routines. Make sure that the change is implemented sustainably and effectively, which also means that change management does not end with the go-live.

HR/IT “Change Check

Are you in the middle of a change process but it's not going as planned? Have you already aborted your change process or never even started it? Unfortunately, we hear statements like this far too often, because change management is often underestimated - especially when it comes to system implementations. We can help you turn the tide and create a successful change story!
