In this model, time management and payroll functions remain within the classic SAP ERP HCM system, while HR Core and Talent Solutions are managed in the cloud with SAP SuccessFactors.
This means that employee master data and organizational data, such as positions, are migrated to the cloud and maintained there as the single source of truth. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) acts as the “source” system, while SAP ERP HCM only accesses the data in the cloud as a “slave” system via replicated data.

Limitations
Not all requirements can be implemented directly with ECP. Therefore, we collaborate with you to evaluate which functionalities are relevant for your organization and determine the optimal implementation.
Key Considerations:
- Integration Limitations: ECP cannot be combined with ECC 6.0 time management or HCM organizational management (OM).
- Functional Restrictions: Topics such as personnel cost planning, travel expenses, and complex time management are currently not supported.
- Technical Constraints: Modifications like user exits, enhancements, or special requirements (e.g., piecework/pay-for-performance, special payments) are not fully implementable.
