Do I need time tracking, or is timesheet enough?

Time Sheet covers basic time tracking. Time Tracking is worth considering if clock-in/out, more detailed surcharge/rating rules, stricter checks, or terminal integration are required.

Can I continue to use my existing time clocks?

In many cases, yes. Terminals can be integrated using integration scenarios (Time Events/API). Before the project begins, we review formats, system requirements, and compatibility.

Do I need additional licenses for time tracking?

Yes, SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking is a licensed add-on for Employee Central. Billing is typically on a per-user, per-month basis. Details vary depending on the scope and contract—we’d be happy to provide you with personalized advice.

How long does implementation take?

From 8 to 14 weeks for simple setups to several months for complex shift and pay scale structures. The key factors are the scope of the rules, integrations, and the depth of testing.

Do employees always have to “clock in”?

No. Clock-in/out is optional. Alternatives include manual entry, templates, and a mobile app - depending on legal requirements and company culture.

How secure is the time-data (GDPR)?

Time data is processed in accordance with the role-based access control model. From the start of the project, we prioritize data minimization, transparency (self-service options), and secure integrations - including deletion and retention periods.
