The program combined technical training, soft skills development, and a hands-on project simulation to provide the trainees with a comprehensive and diverse learning experience. The second round of the program will begin in October 2024, featuring another trainee at p78 in the SAP SuccessFactors area.
Comprehensive SAP SuccessFactors Training and Realistic Project Simulation
The four-month trainee program kicked off with an introductory phase that included networking events and SAP training sessions. p78 conducted the SAP SuccessFactors training for the HCM Practice trainees. Following this, the trainees participated in a realistic simulation of a customer project, divided into several phases: requirements analysis; design, build, and test; and transition and go-live. Each phase was accompanied by practical tasks and presentations, allowing the trainees to apply and deepen their knowledge. The program was further enriched by regular training in both technical and soft skills, such as PowerPoint, Excel, and presentation techniques. Additionally, various activities, such as a group rowing event, helped foster team spirit and personal development among the participants.
"The combination of structured training and a practical project has provided the trainees with a solid foundation for their future challenges. We look forward to the next round of the trainee program and the opportunity to offer such a comprehensive training program for our young professionals in collaboration with our parent company, cbs." – Matthias Grün, CEO of p78.
Successful Completion: Trainees Present Their Results
The trainee program culminated in a comprehensive final presentation on July 26, 2024. This presentation marked the official conclusion of the four-month training phase and provided the trainees with the opportunity to showcase their acquired skills and developed solutions. The three-and-a-half-hour presentation was characterized by detailed explanations of the various project phases, during which the trainees presented their solutions and approaches to the simulated customer project. Following the presentation, a celebration was held to duly recognize the trainees' achievements. Additionally, mutual feedback sessions provided the trainees with valuable insights and feedback for their further professional development.
"The trainee program was a good mix of structured guidelines and the freedom to contribute my own ideas. I have grown significantly over the past four months." – Marile Hüsing, former trainee and now Junior Consultant at p78.
Diverse Expertise United: Trainees Benefit from Interdisciplinary Collaboration
The trainee program was distinguished by the diversity of its participants. A total of 22 trainees, including one from p78 and one from cbs in the HCM Practice, took part in the program. The trainees came from various fields, such as HR, logistics, procurement, and project management. They were brought together for four months as part of the intensive training program. This diversity provided a comprehensive perspective on the simulated customer project, promoted collaboration, and facilitated knowledge exchange across disciplines. The trainees benefited from this heterogeneous group, contributing their respective expertise and experiences to jointly develop and implement innovative solutions.
"Marile and Tanja, our two trainees, have delivered outstanding performance over the past few months, and we look forward to involving them in our real customer projects." – Christoph Grünberg, Division Lead HR Consulting at p78.
